Key qualifications

Elisabeth (Liz) Morris-Webb PhD is a transdisciplinary marine scientist, with interests in human-nature connection, ocean literacy and pro-environmental behavioural change. Her work draws on marine ecology, human geography, environmental psychology and health sciences (specifically related to well-being). Liz has nineteen years of experience working as a marine ecologist, scientific diver and Director of a small marine consultancy.  Over the past eight years she has developed a social science research portfolio at Bangor University, Wales, working with the public, coastal user groups and marine practitioners and government to ensure that human-nature relationships are considered in future planning and policy. Liz is now a Senior Researcher at the NRI, focusing on ocean literacy across the EU transdisciplinary project EmpowerUS.
