Suyash has a broad interest in the field of sustainability transitions and inclusive green growth in the Nordic countries as well as developing economies such as India and aims to develop concepts and approaches which help policymakers and citizens in finding solutions to the current sustainability challenges. Before working at the Nordland Research Institute, he worked at the Department of Human Geography, Lund University on different projects focusing on green industry path development in different Nordic regions; Bioeconomy development in Sweden, and the development of sustainable plastics in the Swedish region Scania. Before working at Lund University, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Division of History of Science, Technology, and Environment, KTH Royal University of Technology on the development of smart grids and digitalisation of energy systems in India. He obtained his Ph.D. and MSc. In Innovation Sciences from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology University, Vellore, India. His research work is interdisciplinary, as he draws on insights from organization and management studies, sustainability transitions, Economic geography, Science and Technology Studies (STS), sustainable business models, frugal innovation, circular economy, and development studies to address novel questions related to the transformation of the current socio-technical systems.
