Mathias Brynhildsen Reinar

Mathias B. Reinar works on topics such as local democracy and urban development, climate adaptation and environmental planning. In his research, he is particularly interested in how municipalities work to translate global and national environmental goals into local policy, and in his doctoral thesis he examined this based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. His work lies at the intersection of environmental sociology, political science and human geography.

Doctorate in sociology from Nord University (2024). Master's degree in political science from NTNU (2011).
