Are Jensen is a senior researcher at Nordland Research Institute. He was a member of the Norwegian Research School in Innovation (NORSI) and has an MSc and PhD in Management from Nord University. Before his career in social science research he was a software developer and still considers himself to be one as he contributes to open-source software and uses his programming skill for statistical computing and simulations. Are has been involved in several research projects focusing on innovation strategies, both at the organizational level and the national/regional policy level. His current work and focus are on H2020 projects oriented towards responsible research and innovation (IAMRRI, SeeRRI, DigiTeRRI), and transitions from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives (Tipping+).
Are has a PhD from Nord University, Norway (Management control and accounting) and has an MSc from Nord University, Norway.
