Svein Morten Eilertsen works with interdisciplinary research in resource and outfield management, grazing questions (reindeer and sheep), including pasture quality, carrying capacity / grazing capacity, technical intervention and human disturbance on the reindeer area use, new technology in grazing surveillance, cultural landscape, wildlife and wildlife management. Supplementary feeding of reindeer. Impact assessments in connection with planned area interventions/ establishment of protected areas.
Eilertsen holds a PhD in biology (reindeer and vegetation) from the Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø. He holds a Master of Natural Sciences and Resource Economics, the Norwegian University of Life Science, Ås.
